Why isn't the pump on my product working?
Some of our products are packaged using airless pump technology. Airless pump packaging uses a vacuum system to dispense rather than a straw which avoids air and contaminant exposure. This keeps the contents fresh while enhancing the formula's stability and effectiveness.
The plate that pushes the product to the top can sometimes become stuck and require “priming” before using it for the first time:
- Hit the bottom of the bottle on a flat surface several times to loosen the plate.
- Turn the product upside down and slowly pump the dispenser 15-20 times.
- If the product starts pumping, you can use it right side up as normal. If this does not work or if the product stops dispensing, repeat the above steps 2-3 more times.*
We do not recommend dismantling the product. If you only opened it once and were able to put it back together, the product should still be effective if it wasn't exposed to air for very long.
