What is the shelf life of my product?
Cosmetic and skincare products do not have a set expiration date, as a product's shelf life will vary based on when it is opened and how it is used/stored. One notable exception is that over-the-counter drugs, such as SPF products and acne treatments, are required by the government to have expiration dates. You can find those products with expiration dates via this link. Otherwise, skincare products instead display what is known as the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol.
You can conveniently find our PAO labels on the back side of each product's packaging, near its barcode. This number represents for how many months a product is viable after it has been opened. After its stated PAO, a product will begin to degrade and lose its potency. We recommend trying to use your products up before this point has been reached.
Most of our products are generally viable for up to three years unopened and twelve months once opened. However, there are a few with shorter PAO dates that we would like to highlight below:
